Rev. Scott Gould has written a new Magnificat setting for the church choir and local soprano rising-star Alison Powell. We are very excited to welcome Alison to perform the work on December 3rd for the first Sunday of Advent. You won't want to miss it!

Ali Powell has been a part of the congregation since she was a baby, and is so grateful to be supported so much by her community. She has been singing and dancing for as long as she can remember, whether it be in the choir or on a stage. She participates in numerous school choirs, a performing group named “Showstoppers”, through which she has performed in Canada Day ceremonies at Canada Place, onstage with the band Foreigner, and much more. She wants to say a huge thank you to the community of St. Helen’s for encouraging her to pursue her passion.
