Shrove Tuesday was a beautiful, clear day, sunny and warm with a definite feeling of spring in the air. The buds were out on the magnolia tree in the memorial garden, as the parish gathered in the Parish Hall for that quintessentially Anglican gathering, the pancake supper. Alf and Marge Lam were ably assisted by the father and son team of Matthew and David Powell, seen here flipping flapjacks for 50 or 60 fine folks. There was dessert too - fruit salad and ice cream, even the renowned Diplomat cake from Notte's Bon Ton made an appearance. Yum yum! Fun times!
