Godly Play Open House

On Sunday November 22nd we had an awesome open house at the 10am service for our Godly Play program. Patricia Mortenson held us all quite literally spellbound as she told the story of Jonah during the service, Godly Play style.

It was excellent for all of us 'adults' to have Godly Play come upstairs to the main service. It was inspiring for all of us to see what the kids are doing every Sunday and to experience the depth of this amazing story telling approach first hand. Great to know that our kids are in such capable hands. Clearly this Montessori based approach invites them to some wonderfully playful and also deep reflections on scripture.

As ministry with children and youth is central to our mission at St. Helen's, the Godly Play program made a wonderful focus for worship on our Visioning Sunday.

Godly Play is open to all children ages 5-10 and is offered during our 10am service every Sunday Sept-May.
